The blood flow around a venous valve was investigated numerically. The leaflets were considered as hyperelastic material. The simulation gives detailed information about the blood and leaflets behavior which can be used in treatment of vein diseases.

In the prolapse model, computational results show incomplete leaflet coaptation,higher MR severity, and also a significant increment of posterior leaflet stress compared to thenormal valve
